Google results now show friend recommendations

Google is all set to merge your search queries with results and recommendations from your friends via Social Media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. A company has to link their Social Media account with Google in order to do this.

Say you are looking to work with an Edinburgh SEO company. You type your queery into Google and are presented with a number of results. Yes, it is important to look at the companies which can deliver what they say they can, but which one is truly the top SEO company to work with? Social search is here to help.

So how can this be translated into SEO terms and what do you need to do to ensure this new feature is of benefit to your company and overall internet marketing strategy?

The first thing to look at is optimising your content by ensuring it is interesting and engaging in order to makes people want to share it. You need to blog regularly and ensure that it is integrated with your Social Media sites so the information can be easily shared.

Up until now many people have been largely unsure of the benefits of using Social Media and have questioned the kind of ROI you can expect from your campaign. In a nutshell now is the time to get started if you haven’t already. Google’s algorithms are changing, they expect better, up-to-date and more relevant content than ever. People tend to forget that Google is a business. They keep their customers coming back by providing searchers the most relevant results to their searches and ultimately connect the demand with the supply.

Good quality ‘white hat’ SEO means good quality content and ultimately good SERP rankings. So the next time you are looking to work with an Edinburgh SEO company, or any SEO company for that matter, check out what your connections are saying… because Google already are.
